Would you like Me To Help Your teen overcome anxiety in the next 6 months?

What if I told you there is a way to help your teen find lasting relief from their anxiety?

A way for them to feel calm, grounded, and confident, no matter how intense their anxiety may be?

The path to building your teen’s confidence and resilience can be full of ups and downs.

You’ve probably tried different approaches, but the results haven’t lasted.

It’s frustrating when all you want is to see them thrive.

I’ve been there.

After over a decade working as a senior pastoral leader in schools, I’ve seen how anxiety can take a heavy toll on teens and their families.

But I’ve also seen what truly makes a difference.

Now, as a coach with a Master’s in Psychology, I’ve helped countless teens overcome anxiety and low self-esteem, guiding families toward lasting change through my MindGuide approach.

Four Ways We'll Transform Your Family's Journey

Skills That Last
Your teen will develop abilities that work for years, not days. They'll carry these tools into adulthood.

Words That Work

Your teen will respond to conversations that build connection. You'll know exactly what to say when challenges arise.

Feelings That Guide

Your teen will discover how emotions point to solutions. They'll use feelings as stepping stones rather than roadblocks.

Methods That Fit
Your teen will receive strategies tailored to their unique needs. Their natural strengths will become the foundation for growth.

My approach is different.

While everyone else focuses on strategies and tactics, which can be inconsistent, I know the real game-changer is what’s happening in your teen’s mind—and yours as a parent.

True confidence and peace do not come from quick fixes, but from lasting internal changes.

As we work together, your teen will move beyond anxiety and self-doubt, while you’ll move beyond frustration and helplessness, discovering a deeper sense of patience, understanding, and connection.

What my clients say

Sarah M., mother of 15-year-old Lily

"Working with Jo transformed our family dynamic completely. Six months ago, my daughter would barely leave her room and avoided school whenever possible. Jo helped Lily see her emotions as guides rather than obstacles. The change has been remarkable - Lily now talks openly with us, has rejoined her swim team, and even mentors younger students at school. As a parent, I finally feel equipped with the right words that actually reach my daughter instead of pushing her away. Jo's approach was exactly what our family needed."

Michael T - father of 16-year-old Jake

"When we first contacted Jo, we were at our wit's end with our son's anxiety about college decisions and social pressures. Jo worked with Jake in a way that respected his independence while giving him practical tools he still uses daily. What impressed me most was how Jo taught us to support Jake without smothering him. The methods fit Jake's personality perfectly - no generic advice that would never work for him. Our home is now a much calmer place, and Jake's confidence has grown tremendously. Worth every penny and more."

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the coaching process typically take?

Most teens begin seeing noticeable improvements within 4-6 weeks of starting our work together. Our comprehensive program runs for 6 months, which provides enough time for new skills to become natural habits. This timeline allows your teen to practice their new emotional tools through various real-life situations, ensuring the changes stick for the long term.

Will my teen need to miss school for sessions?

Not at all. I schedule all coaching sessions during after-school hours and weekends to ensure your teen's academic schedule remains uninterrupted. We can arrange sessions that work around sports, extracurricular activities, and family commitments. Online sessions are also available for families with busy schedules.

My teen is resistant to the idea of "getting help." How do you handle this?

This is completely normal! I approach resistant teens with respect and understanding, not as "problems to fix." Our first session focuses on building rapport and finding common ground, not diving into difficult emotions. Many teens who initially came reluctantly tell me later they actually look forward to our sessions because they don't feel judged or pressured. I create a space where they feel heard rather than "fixed."

What makes your approach different from traditional therapy?

While therapy is valuable for many teens, my MindGuide approach combines elements of coaching, mentoring, and practical skill-building in a way that many teens find more engaging. I focus heavily on real-life application – giving your teen concrete tools they can use immediately in school, social situations, and at home. Additionally, I work closely with parents, providing specific guidance on supporting your teen between sessions, which creates faster, more consistent progress.
